Do I need a service certificate to register my horse?
Service certificates are required if you don't own the sire of the horse you are registering and only if this is a new registration. It is not needed if the horse is already registered with another society.

You have bought a mare who was in foal at the time of purchase and now you want to register the foal - needs a service certificate
You sent your mare to an outside stallion and now want to register the resulting foal - needs a service certificate.

​ Do I need a Transfer Form?
You need a transfer form signed by the previous owner for any horse you have purchased that is not already in your name on a registration certificate.
​ Do i need a Certificate of Soundness?
To be shown or bred with, Colts and Stallions over 2yo are required to have a COS. All permanent Stallion registrations must be accompanied by a certificate of soundness completed by a qualified veterinarian.
​ Do I need a Gelding Certificate?
All geldings must provide a veterinarian-issued gelding certificate confirming the completion of the gelding procedure if not already registered as Gelding status
​ Do I need to send in another Society registration?
If you want the pedigree listed for your horse you will need to send in verification of its pedigree either by another society registration, DNA, or Stallion returns.
Horses without verified breeding will have pedigrees listed as unknown

Can I show my horse plaited?
Manes and tails can be shown platted or free flowing in all events. The mane and tail may be trimmed and thinned to improve the appearance.
