🐴 How To Register Your Horse With ASEA

Step 1 – Known Parentage?

If your horse’s sire and dam are known and can be verified by registration papers from another recognised society or listed on a Stallion Return:

  • Under 4 Years Old → Apply for Temporary Registration

  • When your horse turns 4 Years or older → Pay the Upgrade Fee to move to Permanent Registration
    (No need to re-register)

OR

  • 4 Years & Over → Apply directly for Permanent Registration

Step 2 – Unknown Parentage?

Horses with unknown breeding (or no verifiable papers) can still be registered:

  • Eligible at any age

  • Registered at a flat rate fee

  • No Temporary Registration required

Stud Transfers

Stud Transfers are available for Parentage Verified horses only and allow ownership to be transferred into your ASEA registered stud name.

Discounted rates apply when transferring multiple horses at the same time.

Once registered, your horse will be added to our Online Studbook. 

Verified Parentage

Temporary Regos - Under 4yrs  
  • New Temp Registration Colt/Filly =  30

  • New Temp Registration Gelding = 10

Permanent Regos - 4 years and over ​
  • New Permanent Registration Stallion = $80

  • New Permanent Registration Mare = $60

  • New Permanent Registration Gelding = $20​

​Upgrades
  • ​Upgrade Stallion = $50

  • Upgrade Mare = $30 

  • Upgrade Gelding = $10

Stud Transfer
  • Up to 5 Horses = $30/Horse

  • 6-10 Horses = $28/Horse

  • 11+ Horses = $25/Horse

Stud Transfer is for Parentage Verified Horses Only​

Unknown Parentage

  • Unknown Parentage Stallion = $250

  • Unknown Parentage Mare = $200 

  • Unknown Parentage Gelding = $30
