ASEA Helper Credit System
*Overview*
The ASEA Helper Credits system is designed to recognize and reward the valuable contributions of volunteers who support the Australian Small Equine Association (ASEA). This system encourages active participation by offering credits that can be redeemed for benefits within the organization.
*How It Works*
1. *Earning Credits*
- *Event Assistance*: Volunteers earn credits for helping at ASEA events (e.g., setting up, stewarding).
- *Committee Work*: Credits are awarded for participation in committee meetings and tasks (e.g., organizing, planning, communication).
- *Fundraising*: Credits are given for efforts in fundraising activities (e.g., selling tickets, soliciting donations).
- *Promotion and Outreach*: Credits for activities like distributing flyers, social media promotion, or representing ASEA at external events.
- *Administrative Tasks*: Credits can be earned for tasks such as managing registrations, handling correspondence, or updating databases.
2. *Credit Allocation*
- *Small Task* (e.g., a few hours of assistance): 5 credits
- *Moderate Task* (e.g., half-day event assistance): 10 credits
- *Large Task* (e.g., full-day event or significant ongoing responsibility): 20 credits
- *Committee Role* (e.g., ongoing committee member): 50 credits per year
- *Leadership Role* (e.g., event coordinator): 100 credits per year
3. *Redeeming Credits*
- *Membership Discount*: Credits can be redeemed for discounts on ASEA membership renewal fees.
- *Merchandise*: Credits can be exchanged for ASEA merchandise (e.g., apparel, accessories).
- *Event Entry Fees*: Use credits to waive or reduce entry fees for ASEA events.
- *Special Recognition*: Volunteers who accumulate a significant number of credits may receive awards or special recognition at ASEA events.
4. *Tracking Credits*
- Volunteers are responsible for submitting their volunteer hours or tasks to the ASEA Volunteer Coordinator.
- The ASEA Volunteer Coordinator will track and update the credits in a central database.
- Volunteers can check their credit balance via the ASEA website or by contacting the Volunteer Coordinator.
5. *Bonus Credits*
- *Special Projects*: Additional credits may be awarded for involvement in special projects or for exceptional contributions.
- *Referral Program*: Earn bonus credits for referring new volunteers or members who join ASEA.
6. *Expiration and Roll-Over*
- Credits expire after two years if not used.
- Credits can be rolled over year to year within the expiration period.
*Implementation*
The system will be introduced with an initial orientation for volunteers, explaining how to earn and redeem credits. An online platform or form will be provided to track and submit volunteer activities.
